Could MW2 have a 3rd Person View?

On: Monday, 26 October 2009

Very interesting news today as it looks possible that Modern Warfare 2 will actually have 3rd person view. This would obviously be optional with the evidence for this whole fiasco below:

Right now that you've seen the video, or part or it, you may just think that it's spectator mode. However certain things such as all his ammo and the map being displayed makes you think otherwise.

Furthermore more to this a screenshot of the MW2 game modes recently released clear shows a 3rd person game mode. Check it out below:

Now we know it's very hard to see and it's in a different language but if you look at 5 from the bottom, 3rd Person Team Deathmatch is clearly visible. Could this be the big secret Bowling mentioned a couple of weeks back, or could that have been the invasion of the US.

A complete translation of the game modes seen above is right here also:
Team Deathmatch
Free-for-All
Domination
Ground war
Sabotage
HQ Pro
Search and destroy
Capture the Flag
Demolition
3rd person team deathmatch
Hardcore Team Deathmatch
Hardcore Search and Destroy
Team Deathmatch ...(cant read, Possible Team Tactical)
Cage Match 3rd Person

Fake or not? You decide but for now this is very interesting news just weeks before the release of Modern Warfare 2.

Also in other news Modern Warfare 2 has been given an age certificate of 18 in the UK. This will be the first game in the Call of Duty series to receive an age rating this high. It just goes to show the intensity and violance this game will show.

That's all for now folks. Stay tuned for all the latest Modern Warfare 2 news & info.

We're Still Alive!

On: Saturday, 24 October 2009

Yes we can't apologies to you enough for not delivering you any news lately. The reason for this is because all three owners of this site went away for a week with that place having NO Internet. We certainly were not prepared for this and therefore the Modern Warfare 2 news halted.

Now just a quick word about our recent trailer. Yes we know it was pretty crap as this was due to fact that we rushed it to get it released before we all left. Again sorry for the let down :(

Also now that we're back, we've probably lost a lot of visitors. So could everyone please spread the word about us again by linking to us on sites and forums, telling your friends or even shouting in the street. Thanks!

ANYWAY...onto all the Modern Warfare 2 news we've missed in the last seven days. We'll wrap this up pretty quickly as the news released hasn't been all that important.

First here are the minimum PC requirements for Modern Warfare 2:

OS:Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (Windows 95/98/ME/2000 are unsupported)
Processor:Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3200+ processor or better supported
Memory:1 GB RAM
Graphics:256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT or better or ATI Radeon 1600XT or better
DirectX®:Microsoft DirectX(R) 9.0c
Hard Drive:12GB of free hard drive space
Sound:100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Internet:Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet Connection required for activation.
Co-op/Multiplayer Hosting:

To host Co-op or MP matches, a 2Ghz dual-core or better processor is recommended.
In other Modern Warfare 2 news 6 pages of the highly anticipated 'Ghost' magazine have appeared on IGN. For those of you who are unclear on the 'Ghost', it's basically a Modern Warfare 2 magazine strip written by the legendary David Lapham. Please check out the screenshots here.

Also Steamworks will be used with the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 making use of Infinity Ward's own servers. Steamworks is basically a piece of kit which allows for auto-updating, anti-cheat technology, and Steam Achievements. This should be seen as good news for PC gamers but this will ultimately mean the end for mods such as the ones seen in CoD4.

A petition has been set-up against the decision to use IW servers and for the use of dedicated ones. Click here to be taken there now if you would like to sign it.

Finally today...17 DAYS TO GO!!! Making it only 2 short weeks to go when Tuesday hits. It seems only last week we talking about how Modern Warfare 2 has been announced and that very first teaser trailer.

That's all for now and make sure to tune in tomorrow for all the latest Modern Warfare 2 news and info.

Captain Price is Back!!!

On: Tuesday, 6 October 2009

Captain Price is Back!!! Yes the legend himself will make a return in Modern Warfare 2. Billy Murray who is the voice of Price today confirmed on his website that Price is alive and well.
"Billy has recently been in LA reprising his role as Captain Price for the latest installment in the award winning video game franchise ' Call of Duty'. From the British Academy Video Games Awards, Call of Duty 4, won Best Gameplay of the Year; Best Story and Character of the Year; and People's Choice Game of the Year."

Amazing news for Modern Warfare 2 fans and we at here are stunned after we all presumed he died in Cod4. Looks like that medic reviving him on the bridge turned out to be a bit of a legend! However before we get too excited, this could be a flashback or even for the Wii version of the game. But either way we're still over the moon that Pricey is back.

In other Modern Warfare 2 news today, IGN.com have done an excellant video analysis of the recent trailer. Here it is below and enjoy :)

That's it for your daily fix of Modern Warfare 2 news today. Stay tuned!
